Sound Labs graduates, armed with working knowledge and the
socio-emotional skills to thrive in complex work environments
are prime prospects for internships at adidas and other
leading companies that share our vision to diversify the
creative class.

_MarvelSongs from Scratch is an opportunity for radical collaboration,
bringing the most exciting young creatives together to make
new songs, from scratch. It’s an opportunity for alumni to work
alongside established artists to build the Sound Labs brand. Granting creators (age 13-22) the resources to change the game by nurturing
their game changing ideas. Calling all creators is both hyperlocal (launching
first at Complex Con) and global with an open call to submit via the new, dedicated
Sound Labs website.
The submission process happens in two stages:
1. An open call for the first phase of the application.
2. Applicant pool narrowed down to 15 applications where the winners are
chosen by the Sound Labs advisory board. Timeline
A total of 6 grants are awarded per year during two submission periods
— spring and fall. Spring grants are issued in April with winners working
through August while fall winners work September through Dec. Winners are
announced with a short profile and preview of their project on Sound Labs
socials.

A place to launch careers, pioneer new formats,
educate/inspire, release new music, exclusive
products, co-creator merch.Students must show up prepared and able to work on programs,
software, hardware, and with instruments they want to use.
*We’ll help them get better, but we won’t hold their hand. The
program is about advancing ideas, not pushing buttons.
Classes are broken into 2, 4 or 6 week blocks, enabling students
to work on projects in a rolling fashion with space for feedback,
and new connections. The Live Music Experience
Over the course of six weeks, students will work with an instructor
to develop a series of live show visuals and comps for a mock live
experience. Students are allowed to choose the album.
GUEST Class: One of the 12 classes will showcase a creative
director working in this field such as Philipa Price, Mike Carson,
or Christopher Parsons where students can share their current
thinking and receive feedback.e will take a targeted approach to recruiting a diverse cross-section of
students from the LA Public High School community by creating a student
recruitment advisory board. These are individuals representing the different
layers of the LA educational system including: district leaders, administrators,
leaders in the non-profit after-school sector, community and political leaders,
and of course, teachers. These distinct but overlapping sectors represent the
multiple layers of decision-making, and youth enrichment within the
communities that are within an appropriate radius of Sound Labs HQ:
DTLA, Koreatown, Westlake, south Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, West Adams,
leimert park, mid-city. Specific organizations, administrators, teachers and
schools include:
Para Los Nino’s, The Fulfillment Fund, Spark program, Boys and Girls Club,
Local government, City agencies, Elected officials.
